The Safe Boating Programme is an initiative designed to provide practical, boating and water safety experience for children – regardless of their confidence in the water.

DIVE INTO THE WORLD
OF SAFE BOATING

The Safe Boating Programmes are split into age groups and are aimed at educating children of all ages to be safe around boats and water.

The programme includes in-water survival techniques, essential safety equipment (e.g. correct lifejacket selection and fitting), the importance of communications, and taking responsibility for personal safety. Boating activities are taught in a fun, controlled, and safe environment.

SKIPPER AGE GROUP?

Little Skippers

  • AGE 3-6
  • 1 SESSION
  • CERTIFICATION

The Little Skippers Programme is designed to build confidence on boats and educate children on how a lifejacket should feel when fitted properly. 

Junior Skipper

  • AGE 6-12
  • 1 SESSION
  • CERTIFICATION

The Junior Skipper Programme is a fun and educational way of informing both primary and intermediate school kids about the importance of personal safety around boats.

Apprentice Skipper

  • AGE 12-15
  • TBA
  • CERTIFICATION

The Apprentice Skipper Programme is currently being developed. It will be aimed at older children that are familar with boats and want to learn more.
